How to request a correction

Use the Submit a correction form on any entry, or send the issue to the editorial team directly. Tell us which entry, which claim, and what the correct information is. Supporting screenshots or documents can be attached to the form.

Attachments stay private. They are stored in a private bucket, readable only by the editorial staff reviewing the request.

What we correct

Factual errors of any size: wrong dates, wrong jurisdictions, wrong issuing authority, misstated requirements, broken or superseded source links, misattributed quotes, and misleading framing.

We also update entries when the underlying document changes — a proposed rule becoming final, an effective date moving, guidance being withdrawn. Updates of this kind are labeled as updates, not corrections.

Timeline

We acknowledge correction requests promptly and aim to resolve clear factual errors within two business days. Requests that require re-verification against a primary source may take longer; we will say so rather than go silent.

What the public record shows

Approved corrections create a permanent correction-history entry on the article: what was wrong, what changed, and the date. That history cannot be edited away, and the change is written to an internal audit log with the approving editor's identity.

Typographical fixes that do not change meaning are made without a correction note.

If we disagree

If we conclude the entry is accurate as written, we will tell you why and cite the document we relied on. If you have a document that contradicts ours, send it — a better primary source wins the argument.
